Welcome to MetroGuide.Network's Arts and Events calendar for Fort Lauderdale, serving both residents and visitors from near and far. The EventGuide service's goal is to provide you with definitive answers to the perpetual quandry of "What Do You Want To Do Today?" ... or to provide inspiration for what to do on all the days that follow.

Greater Fort Lauderdale -- between Palm Beach and Miami -- embraces some 30 municipalities, including Pompano Beach, Wilton Manors, Weston and Hollywood, packed with arts, cultural and sporting events. Annual spectacles range from the former McDonald's Air & Sea Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. In between are the Las Olas Art Fair, Las Olas Wine & Food Festival, Pompano Beach Seafood Festival, Hollywood Jazz Festival, and Cajun Zydeco Festival. The tri-county region includes sporting events of virtually every variety.

The region's professional football, basketball and baseball teams -- the Dolphins, Heat and Marlins respectively -- play in Miami-Dade County. The Florida Panthers NHL hockey team plays in western Broward County.

Whether it's an artistic affair, a culinary, musical or dance extravaganza, or a world-class sports spectacular, MetroGuide's Arts & Events Calendar is your home base for what's happening -- whether you're on home turf or on the road for business or pleasure.
